EVENT International Monetary Fund Annual Meetings

LOCATION Washington, D.C.

The Challenge

During the International Monetary Fund Annual Meetings, brands are tasked with standing out in an environment defined by tight schedules, formal programming, and utilitarian hotel spaces. For BNY, the objective was not guest entertainment, but thoughtful brand presence, amplification, and visibility among a highly targeted global audience.

The challenge was transforming standard hotel rooms, often neutral and inconsistent with brand aesthetics, into polished, impressionable meeting environments that reflected BNY's identity while creating moments that were press-worthy, intentional, and distinctly branded.

The Execution

Assembli reimagined standard hotel rooms as elevated brand environments designed to support meetings, conversations, and targeted engagement throughout the IMF meetings. Each space was fully transformed to align with BNY's brand, incorporating custom-fabricated walls, tailored furniture, branded finishes, and refined layouts that replaced the original room structure entirely.

Rather than focusing on guest experience in the traditional sense, the design emphasized visual impact, brand clarity, and consistency across multiple rooms. The spaces functioned as controlled environments where BNY's messaging, values, and presence were clearly communicated to a specific audience, turning otherwise forgettable hotel rooms into intentional brand touchpoints.

Through strategic fabrication, thoughtful design, and precise execution, Assembli delivered a series of branded meeting spaces that elevated BNY's presence during the IMF meetings. The result was a press-ready, high-impact activation that demonstrated how temporary environments can be transformed into powerful brand statements, even within the most constrained settings.
