The Challenge

Following the continued growth and cultural impact of ESPN College GameDay, Assembli was challenged to translate the energy of the live broadcast into an on-site fan experience that could match its national hype. Each week presented a new campus, new footprint, and new set of logistical variables—from early morning show times and tight production schedules to unpredictable weather and evolving crowd sizes.


The Execution

Assembli developed a dynamic, repeatable-yet-flexible fan experience model designed to seamlessly integrate with the live GameDay broadcast while enhancing the overall atmosphere on-site. High-impact visual elements—including bold signage, and interactive fan zones—helped establish a strong sense of place and elevated the energy surrounding the show.

Intentional crowd flow and spatial planning ensured that fans were naturally drawn into key engagement areas, maximizing participation while maintaining clear sight lines to the live broadcast. Interactive moments such as photo opportunities, and social-driven activations encouraged real-time engagement and shareable content, extending the reach of the experience beyond the physical footprint.

Close coordination with broadcast operations allowed Assembli to align fan moments with live show segments, creating a cohesive environment where the audience felt directly connected to the action on screen.
